Jane --Head Honcho

JANE Jane is the "brains" of this outfit (guess who wrote the bios!). It was her suggestion to turn the gardens into a nursery, partly as a way for Hank to finance the plants Hank was going to buy anyway, and partly because it seemed like a really pleasant way for him to keep the gardens from being less than the defacto non profit enterprise that they are now. Although she wouldn't want it for a career, she volunteered to oversee the paperwork for the nursery. In May 1997, she proudly graduated Summa Cum Laude in psychology from Davis & Elkins College, though she finds gardening much more satisfying. Jane is currently doing postgraduate work in Theology at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in nearby Columbus where she earned a Master's Degree in theology in June of 2004. Her grandfather started her interest in growing things when she was very young. It's probably in the genes, since her ancestors farmed the 500 acres given to them by William Penn in 1683 until the 1950's.
