L = Large, 24-36"; VL = Very Large, Over 36".

- 'SAGAE' (Watanabe 1996) - (M) Dull yellow green above, glaucous green below with bright-pale yellow margins and irregular ripples. Whitish flowers. $12.00
- 'SAISHU JIMA' (Korea/Japan Davidson / Summers) - (S) Originally found on the island of Saishu Japan. Lance shaped green leaves 4" x 1", glossy with wavy leaf margins. Bell shaped purple striped flowers. Rapid increaser. $5.00
- 'SALUTE' (Benedict 1995) - (M) Narrow, pointed blue leaves which are held erect to form a vase shaped upright clump. Wavy edges and twisty tips. Different. $10.00
- 'SAMUAL BLUE' (Krossa/Ruh 1981) - (L) Blue green leaves. Heavy substance. White flowers. $8.00
- 'SATIN BEAUTY' (Fisher 1976 IRA 1986) - (L) Medium green, glossy leaves. Slightly cupped. Pale lavender flowers. $10.00
- 'SEE SAW' (Summers/AHS 1986) - (L) Medium dark green with variable white margin and some gray streaking toward the midrib; cupped upward or downward; several small marginal undulations. Pale lavender flowers in July. $5.00
- 'SERENDIPITY' (Aden 1978) - (S) Blue green heart shaped leaves on a 10" tall plant. White flowers. $5.00
- 'SHAZAAM' (Jones NR) - (S/M) Dark green wedge shaped leaves with a dramatic, very wide creamy margin. Lighter grey/green areas appear in the leaf where the uneven margin lverlaps the green center. Lavender flowers in early summer. $15.00
- 'SHERBOURNE PROFUSION' (Smith/BHHS 1988) - (S) 8" tall and 12" wide or up to 13" tall and 30" wide. Blue leaves. Color holds if in partial shade. Orchid flowers in late June into mid July on 18" scapes. Fertile. $10.00
- 'SILVER STREAK' (Zager/Krossa 1986) - (Mini) White centers with narrow dark green margins. Wavy, undulate, contorted. Purple striped flowers. Sterile. Likes some morning sun. $18.00
- 'SILVER THREADS AND GOLDEN NEEDLES' (Anderson NR) - (S) A hard one to describe. Gold with streaky green, puckered center. In sun there is also some green flecking as the center turns whiter. Purple striped flowers. $18.00
- 'SMALL CHANGE' (NR?) - (S) Apple green, folded leaves. $15.00
- 'SMILING SAILOR' (C. Seaver 1996) - (D) Yellowish green to gold with a flat margin. Dull on top and underneath. Long, pale purple, tubular, striped flowers. $18.00
- 'SNOW CRUST' (Zilis 1985) - (L) Medium green with a white margin. Pale lavender flowers. $8.00
- 'SNOW FLAKES' (Williams 1986) - (S) 9" tall and 22" wide. Medium green, dull. 21-28"scapes with pure white flowers. $5.00
- 'SNOW WHITE' (Arett 1983) - (S/M) White with a greem margin. Wavy and contorted. Lavender flowers mid-summer. $8.00
- 'SNOWDEN' (Smith BHHS 1988) - (L) Blue green leaves and white flowers. $12.00
- 'SO SWEET' (Aden 1986) - (M) Glossy light green leaves with medium to large white margins. Very fragrant white flowers in August. $8.00
- 'SOMETHING ELSE' (Zilis 2009) - (M/L) $12.00
- 'SOUTHERN COMFORT' (Ruh 1992) - Green leaves, triangular, slightly twisted. Lavender Pink flowers. $8.00
- 'SPARKLING BURGUNDY' (Savory 1982) - (S) Olive green, heavy texture. Flowers are reddish purple with purple spotting. $8.00
- 'SPECIAL GIFT' (Fisher 1973) - (S) A neat round mound of heart shaped blue green leaves. Abundant lavender flowers. $5.00
- 'SPECIES #99' (S) - Narrow green leaves with wavy edges. Purple flowers. Fast increaser. $10.00
- 'SPINGARN'S JAPAN' (Spingarn/Malloy 2000) - (D) A cute little 2 inch tall plant, medium green and slightly shiny. Long, pale lavender to near white, tubular flowers in late summer. $8.00
- 'SPINNERS' (Smith BHHS 1988) - (L) Very large plant when mature. Dark green with a creamy white edge. Lavender flowers midsummer. $8.00
- 'SPRITZER' (Aden 1986) - (M) Yellow gold to white center with a two tone green variable width edge. Leaves are upright but arch outward and downward. Flowers are purple tinged white. Very heavy bloomer. $10.00
- 'STAINED GLASS' (Hansen/Shady Oaks 1999) - (M/L) A sport of Guacamole with the same rapid growth and mounding form. Variegation hold well throughout the season. Prominent veins give the leaf a 'stained glass window' effect. Large fragran near-white flowers in August. $12.00
- 'STILETTO' (Aden 1987) - (D) Green with very narrow white margin, lanceolate, undulate leaves, 7" x 1". 12" scapes with purple striped flowers. $8.00.
- 'STIRFRY' (Benedict 1990) - (S/M) Green, triangular leaves. Rippled edges and twisted, pointy tip. Lavender striped flowers. $12.00
- 'SUBCROCEA' (AHS) - (M) A sieboldii; yellow green with many small marginal undulations. $8.00
- 'SUE' (Millhorn 2000)- (M) White leaves with green margins that streak towards the center along with lighter green and sometimes grey streaks. $35.00
- 'SUGAR AND SPICE' (Zilis 2003) - (M) Green with a white edge. Some streaking. Purple flowers. $15.00
- 'SULTANA' (Zumbar 1988) - (S) Dark green with a light chartreuse margin that varies in width. Cordate, wavy leaves. Near white flowers. $8.00
- 'SUM AND SUBSTANCE' (Aden 1980) - (XL) Glossy chartreuse - more gold in more sun. White underside. Leaves can reach 20" long and 15" wide. Pest resistant. White flowers. A truly impressive clump at maturity. $12.00
- 'SUMMER BREEZE' (Q&Z 1999) - (L) Dark green centers with 4 1/2" wide irregular gold margins. Pale lavender flowers in July. A sport of H. 'Summer Music'. $12.00
- 'SUNDANCE' (Walters Gardens 1984) - (L) Green with a narrow margin of yellow-cream that changes to cream. Medium lavender flowers. $7.00
- 'SUPER NOVA' (Zilis 1999) - (M/L) Gold center with a dark green variable width edge. Round and crinkly. Soft lilac flowers. $15.00
- 'SURFER GIRL' (Wasitis/Bridgewood Gardens 2000) - (D) Medium green leaves with heavily rippled margins, very shiny on top. 4" high clump. Pale purple flowers. $15.00
- 'SWEET STANDARD' (Zilis 1984) - (L) Green streaked and mottled with creamy white with a white margin. Slight ruffling on the margin. Near white fragrant flowers. $6.00
- 'SWEET SUSAN' (Williams 1958) - (L) Medium green heart-shaped leaves. Fragrant lavender flowers. Fertile. $5.00
- 'SWEET TATER PIE' (Avent 1995) - (S) A mound of waxy gold leaves with a smooth margin. Very shiny on top, slightly shiny underneath; heavy substance. Deep purple spider shaped flowers. $10.00
